Photo4A szerbiai – akkor még jugoszláviai – Uzsicében született Marko hétévesen kezdett focizni, ám két évvel később „visszavonult”, pontosabban sportágat váltott: a kosárlabdába szeretett bele. Szerencsénkre hamar kiderült, nem éppen szálfatermet, így visszakanyarodott a futballhoz – pontosabban a kapuba.
Tizenhárom éves koráig a kapuban pallérozódott – ma már nevetve meséli, akkor derült ki, nem hogy a kosárlabdához, de a védéshez sem elég magas. Így lett belőle sziklakemény védő.
Első csapata a pozsegai FK Szloga volt, majd az FK Sevojno következett. Két évig ingázott a két klub között, majd amikor a Sevojno feljutott a másodosztályba – Marko védőként is viszonylag sok gólt rúgott! - , Belgiumba, a Lokerenhez szerződött.
Egy évet töltött a belga csapatnál, majd 2008 nyarán a Fehérvár FC-hez szerződött. Első nálunk töltött félévében – csupaszív játékát elismerve – szurkolóink, a szezon legjobbjává választották.
A 2010-11-es, „aranyos” szezonban, balhátvédként vált a dr. Mezey György irányította csapat alapemberévé.
Bajnoki címmel, és kupaezüsttel a tarsolyában, nem újította meg 2011 nyarán lejáró szerződését a Videotonnal – Ciprusra, az Anorthosziszhoz került. Ott négy évet húzott le, aztán a szintén ciprusi Nea Szalamisz, majd hazája gárdája, a Szabadka következett. A szurkolók jó szívvel emlékezhetnek a BL-csoportkörös Debrecen ellen 2009 őszén lőtt jó 35 méteres szabadrúgásgóljára - a találkozót 3-0-ra megnyertük.
