Deybi Flores and the Honduran national team bid farewell to the Gold Cup with a victory

Our midfielder played well in the winning match against Haiti, but Qatar surprisingly beat Mexico and the tournament ended for our player.

The Honduran national team had a strong chance of qualifying for the group stage of the Gold Cup, and our midfielder Deybi Flores played a key role in the national team.

The 27-year-old was an important member of the Blue and White team in the 2-1 win over Haiti, wearing the captain's armband after Elis' injury, 52 of his 56 passes were successful, eight on the ground and one in the air. However, the win was not enough to progress as Qatar shockingly beat Mexico to send the Asian 'visitors' through to the knockout stages.
