The final friendly of the Croatian training camp was played on Saturday morning against NK Osijek. Manager Gabor Marton chose the following side for the game in Rovin: Rockov - Bolla, Rus, Musliu, Fiola - Pinto - Halmai, Kovacs, Dardai, Geresi – Nikolic.
The first chance of the game fell to Osijek after 2 minutes. Bockaj sending his shot from 17 meters over the bar. The opponents had another chance after 10 minutes with a low shot from Plij being well saved by Rockov. Bohar dribbled his way in with a chance 9 minutes later but he just failed to hit the target. Osijek won a corner and it fell to Zaher, whose shot went into the side netting. Rockov did well to race out of his goal after 27 minutes, before punching the ball ahead of two Croatian forwards. Rockov was again called upon in the 38th minute to collect a corner kick. Two minutes later and Bockaj sent his free kick from 18 meters towards goal. It fell inside the box to Mierez, who shot wide of the goal. Osijek went ahead close to half time: Musliu was judged to have fouled inside the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Mierez confidently finding the back of the net to make it 0-1.
The second half started with the opponents again enjoying the upper-hand. Bockaj shot from 16 meters after 48 minutes, which went just wide of the post. Bockaj had another chance a couple of minutes later but Rockov was well placed to deal with it. Vidi came back into the game and Halmai sent an unstoppable shot into the back of the net from 15 meters out after 53 minutes (1-1).
There were four changes made on 63 minutes with Kovacs, Geresi, Nikolic and Halmai being replaced by Houri, Funsho, Zivzivadze and Petryak. Vidi turned the game around after 65 minutes after Hangya found Zivzivadze with a pass, and the ball fell to Dardai, who made no mistake from 13 meters out 2-1. Rockov made a very good save after 70 minutes from the opposing keepers big kick out. Bolla fouled an opponent inside the box after 70 minutes and the referee awarded a penalty. Mierez again finding the back of the net from the spot kick to make it 2-2. Bockaj sent a curling shot in front of goal six minutes later, which Skoric connected with, but it went just wide of the goal. Petryak passed to Dardai on 84 minutes, but a Croatian defender managed to clear the danger in the last minute. The final whistle blew and Vidi ended their final friendly game of the training camp with a 2-2 draw.
The OTP league continues next weekend when we travel to Ujpest on Saturday for a match that will kick off at 19:30pm.
