The midfielder played in Hungary's 1-0 friendly win over Costa Rica on Tuesday evening.

"It is a great honour for me to play for the national team once again after 3 years. I felt really motivated when I arrived. I was naturally surprised when Zoltan Szelesi called me up, and I would like to thank him for his trust in me. I played in a friendly match for Videoton on Saturday against Slaven Belupo. Then I played 90 minutes for the national team against Costa Rica on Tuesday evening. I feel that we managed to show that we are capable of battling and fighting for the win. We beat a very good side in the final international game of the year. We know that we still have plenty to improve in but we need this attitude to build a base upon. My feeling regarding my own performance are mixed. It has been a long time since I last tired so much as I did in this game. At the same time I enjoyed all the game. As to what the future brings, I do not know, but if I am called up again for the national team, I will be just as pleased and motivated as I was against Costa Rica" - commented midfielder Jozsef Varga after the friendly win.

Several players are away on international duty from the Vidi squad.

There was a small youth tournament on Tuesday evening to make sure that the stadium is ready for the big opening against Ujpest in a weeks time.

The attention switches to the Hungarian national side who have two important group matches at home.

The midfielder spoke shortly after the final whistle on Sunday.

The two managers shared their thoughts after the 1-0 defeat at Mezokovesd.

A goal from Koszta in the second half gave the home side the three points.
