The Videoton coaching staff continues to grow following the recent appointment of Istvan Brockhauser. Liam Anderson, who worked with the Liverpool FC first team squad over the last three seasons is the latest member of the coaching team.

Liam Anderson attended high school five years ago, and worked at both Blackburn Rovers and Burnley FC at the same time. He also spent a season with the first team squad of Everton FC, besides attending University in 2012/13, to increase his experience.

He linked up with the Liverpool FC coaching team for season 2013/14, where he worked as a fitness coach with the first team squad. The young coach from Runcorn, has also worked a lot in football, which currently involves a doctoral program at the John Moores University in Liverpool. He is co-author, among other things, for the published professional journals such as the Journal of Sport Sciences, and the research in Sports Medicine: An international Journal.

“This is a very exciting challenge that I can link up with Vidi. I was approached towards the end of last season to work together with Henning Berg at Videoton FC. I feel that this is a great chance for me. I am looking forward to being able to develop a lot here and pick up lots of new experience. It also means that I can work in another country besides England. I know that there are big targets in place, which include winning the league title and Hungarian cup. We also need to be in the picture for the Europa League group stage. My main role as a fitness coach is to make sure the team are in the best possible condition, and to also improve the strength of the team” – commented Liam Anderson on his first full day as the new Vidi fitness coach.
