The midfielder has received his first call-up for the national squad, and he was satisfied with the teams performance against Pecs. He is really looking forward to being with the international squad.

"I thought that we played well and convincingly on Saturday evening at the home of Pecs. I felt good out there on the pitch, and it is really good to play in this Vidi team. It also felt great that we did not concede a goal, and that we have kept our 100% run going. Niko's great blast was amazing. It was a little bit difficult at the start to adjust to the bad quality pitch, but once the rain began to fall, it became better to play on. I will be travelling to the international camp next week together with the other Videoton players, which I am really looking forward to. There will be two qualification games in October against Romania and the Faroe Islands. This is the first time that I have been called up to the international squad. It really is a great honour for me. I will do all I can if I get the chance to play to give a good performance for the national team." - commented Adam Simon to vidi.hu.

The two managers gave their thoughts on the match.

Nikolics matched the goalscoring feat of Gyozo Burcsa, while Joan Carrillo has now managed Vidi to a new club record!
