Saturday's game kicked off in cool autumn weather, with the afternoon rain leaving its mark on the green pitch at the Sostoi. Videoton were looking to return back to the top of the OTP league table. Former Vidi player and then coach Balazs Beko was sitting on the opponents bench in the capacity of team manager, with his side coming to the Fehervar to defend in numbers. There was also a league debut for defender Gabor Gyepes, who partenered Paulo Vinicius at the heart of the home defence. Otherwise it was a settled side that went into this match.
The first minute produced a chance for Vidi, with Gyurcso having an effort, which went wide of the target. The home side were looking to take the lead as quickly as possible, taking the match to the visitors, who were happy to have as many men behind the ball as possible.
KTE defended with discipline and it was always going to be a long evening for the Fehervar side, who left it late to claim the points. There were no real chances in a dull first half, with the slippery pitch not helping the players. Vidi tried from long range to get the breakthrough, with both Sandor and Kleinheisler trying their luck. There were also two dangerous corners, which Antal and his defence had to deal with. The club introduced their new mascot at half time, which they have named Stopli. The mascot proved popular with the club's younger supporters.
The second 45 minutes started as the first had, with the home side placing pressure on the KTE defence. One of the best moments of the game came when Kleinheisler produced great skill to make space for himself, before unleashing a powerful shot, which Antal was equal to. The chance warmed up the Vidi fans, who appreciated the youngster's skills. The breakthrough eventually came when substitute Zé Luis rose in front of goal to head home a cross to score his first league goal.
There was also time for Torghelle to neatly turn his defender before his shot clipped the outside of the post. Paraiba also did well when he came on at right back. Vidi could have extended their lead in the final moments, but in the end the all-important goal came with 10 minutes left on the clock. It also gave Vidi the three points to return back to the top of the OTP League.

The young midfielder put in a battling performance during Saturday's win over KTE.
