The left back recently joined Videoton after playing in Portugal.
- Now that the first training camp as a Videoton player has ended, how would you sum up the work, and what is your opinion on the team?
There is no way of making it sound any better, we had 10 days of really hard work. Perhaps it was down to a change of scenery, but as it is summer, apart from the first two days, we did not really have problems with the weather. This is a positive thing. I am also pleased to have joined such a good team as Videoton. I have had to learn a lot, as this is a totally different playing style, so I have had little time to adapt. However, I feel that in the friendly matches I was able to contribute and get over the hurdles. I am also pleased that I have managed to blend in so quickly with the rest of the team. Many of the players have spoken with me and were interested in finding out more about myself, so I can say that I am in a fantastic group of players.
- The Europa League kicks off next week, what are you expecting?
I think that all players dream about playing in European competition when they are kids. It is special to be part of this team, which did well in the European games. The pre-season training so far has been very worthwhile, but naturally there are still areas that we can improve in, but we are getting better each day. The aim for all of us is to have a good run in the Europa League, which is why we will give our all on the pitch in the matches.
- What are your first impressions of Hungarian players?
I have not seen such a big difference so far, than to what I am used to in Portugal. The Hungarian players are equal in the technical side of the game, but perhaps one difference is that the Hungarian players are more aggressive in a positive way than the players in the Portuguese second division.
- What are you expecting from Vidi, and what performance would you be happy with?
I would first of all like to become a useful member of the squad. I will have to compete with very good players for a place in the team, but I feel that competition is good for the team and helps the players develop further.
