Gyorgy Mezey (Manager): "Maribor are a cultured good central European side, who finished second in the stronger Slovenian league. I believe that both teams have a similar chance of progressing. There is not that much time until the first game with them, and the most important task now is to build the team, and strengthen, as well as prepare suitably."

Balazs Farkas (captain): "I don't think that there is such a thing as easy opposition on the international scene. Whether we could have got easier opposition is another question. However, we could also have been given harder opponents. One advantage to the game with Maribor is the fact that we will not have far to travel, which everyone is pleased about."

Akos Elek: "I do not know anything really about them, but if I think about the fact that Slovenia are out in the World Cup in South Africa, and Hungary isn't, then we are talking about a Maribor side that came second in a stronger championships."

Andras Gosztonyi: "We would all like to go as far as we can in the Europa league. We will have to defeat other teams to do this. Fate has determined that Maribor will be the first obstacle. I am looking forward to the game with interest."

Daniel Nagy: "I was in the gym when the manager told us the news that Maribor will be our first opponents. Out of the four teams that I thought we could get, we did not get the strongest. I believe that Maribor are beatable, and we have a good chance of going through."
