2005 nyarán érkezett Fehérvárra és elfogadásában sokat segített, hogy mindjárt az első évben Magyar Kupa-győztes lett a csapattal, Balázs pedig stabil kezdőnek számított. A tulajdonosváltás után felemelkedő Vidiben is meghatározó alak, csapatkapitány maradt, 2009-10-ben bajnoki ezüstöt, majd bajnoki címet ünnepelhetett a csapattal, valamint Magyar Kupa-ezüstérmes lett, de van a tarsolyában két Ligakupa-arany is.

Nem úgy indult Farkas Balázs pályafutása, mint egy átlagos Vidi-kedvencé: a győri származású játékos 74 ETO-s bajnokival a lábában Újpestre igazolt, melynek színeiben három szezon alatt egy bajnoki ezüstérem jutott neki.
2005 nyarán érkezett Fehérvárra és elfogadásában sokat segített, hogy mindjárt az első évben Magyar Kupa-győztes lett a csapattal, Balázs pedig stabil kezdőnek számított. A tulajdonosváltás után felemelkedő Vidiben is meghatározó alak, csapatkapitány maradt, 2009-10-ben bajnoki ezüstöt, majd bajnoki címet ünnepelhetett a csapattal, valamint Magyar Kupa-ezüstérmes lett, de van a tarsolyában két Ligakupa-arany is.
Paulo Sousa érkezésekor 151 bajnokival a lábában távozott a Vasashoz, de később a Kecskemét és a Mezőkövesd színeiben is játszott az élvonalban, 2014-ben levezetésképp pedig a Budafoki MTE-t választotta.
