Our team played the final match of the 3rd round of the OTP Bank League on Sunday night in Kecskemét. Bartosz Grzelak sent out the eleven of Kovács D. - Csongvai, Serafimov, Spandler, Zeke - Flores, Christensen - Kastrati, Katona, Schön - Kodro with the two new signings, Balázs Tóth and Zsolt Kalmár on the bench!

The match started with home pressure and shots, in the 8th minute Bence Kiss tried his luck and then four minutes later Krisztián Nagy's shot was confidently saved by Dániel Kovács. In the 13th minute, Schön took aim at the bottom left corner from 20 yards out, but it did not find the target. Halfway through the half, two more shots from the home side were saved, first by Szuhodovszki, then Szalai tried to score after half an hour, but could not find the net. In the 34th minute, however, Szalai scored from close range - an incredible strike from the home defender saw Iyinbor's header bounce off the post, and unfortunately onto the back of Csongvai, with Szalai, reacting quickest and making no mistake from close range (1-0). In the closing stages of the first half, Christensen shot into the side netting, then Kodro's shot was blocked by Iyinbor, and after a minute of extra time, József Erdös blew for the end of the first half.

The game continued without substitutions after the break, but our head coach made three changes quickly afterwards. Zsolt Kalmár made his debut, replacing Katona, while Pető and Karamoko replaced Kastrati and Schönt in the 53rd minute. Kodro got on the end of Pető's header in the 54th minute, but he shot over the goal from a free kick, and Krisztián Nagy's header went over the crossbar of Kovács. The teams had played almost an hour when Pető attempted a shot from 20 yards, but Bence Varga got on the end of the low ball. In the 61st minute, Sukhodovsky tried hard with a chance, right from the 16-yard line. Four minutes later, Varga fought off Kalmar's free-kick and Horváth shot from the edge of the box from the counterattack, but Kovács saved.

In the 70th minute, after Karamoko and Kodro had linked with the ball, Kalmár tried to put the ball into the net with his back to goal, but Varga was able to save. In the 73rd minute, after a cross from Csongvai, Kodro darted in and Varga was beaten, but the crossbar saved the Kecskemét players from conceding. After the chance, Levente Szabó returned to the pitch after injury, replacing Mário Zeke. With ten minutes left of normal time, Csongvai's long-range free-kick crashed past the left post. In the 83rd minute, Barna Tóth's close range shot ricocheted off the post and we were awarded a kick, before Attila Fiola replaced Áron Csongvai. In the last minutes, we attacked with all our strengths, Dániel Kovács even went up for a corner while Milán Pető was in a shooting position after a cross, but the young midfielder could not find the net, KTE won 1-0.
