FTC visits Székesfehérvár on Sunday

Ferencváros did not play in the first round of the NB I, so they will play their first match of the season against us.

Last season, FTC won the Hungarian championship for the 34th time, and for the fifth time in a row since 2019, the green and white team finished top. On Sunday at 17:45, FTC will play us for the 111th time in the top flight. Of the 110 games played against each other, FTC have won 52 of them, with 31 draws and 27 victories for the red and blues. The goal difference is 177-117 in favour of the Budapest team. We have beaten the record champions 15 times on our home pitch and 12 times away.

FTC did not play in the first round of the OTP Bank Liga NB I, and at the time of writing they have played three international matches, the fourth of which will be played on Thursday this week when they play the second leg against Shamrock Rovers in Ireland.

In their qualifying round for the European Champions League, FTC lost against KÍ Klaksvík from Faroe Islands (0-0 away, 0-3 at home), while in the ECL qualifier, FTC won 4-0 at home against Irish Shamrock Rovers. The return leg of this match will take place on Thursday evening.

FTC's management sacked head coach Stanislav Cherchesov and his staff with immediate effect after the CL defeat, and at the time of writing Csaba Máté is acting head coach of Ferencváros.
