On Thursday 3rd March at 20:00, we will play against the hosts ETO FC in the quarter-finals of the MOL Hungarian Cup at ETO Park in Győr.

Last September, Győr started their cup campaign at the home of NB III leaders Mosonmagyaróvár and confidently went through with a 3-0 win. In the next round, they then secured a major scalp as they knocked out NB I side Puskás Akadémia FC after a 1-0 win at home, courtesy of a goal from Richárd Vernes. In the last eight, however, ETO FC visited the home of Nagykanizsa, who are in the same group as Vidi II in NB III and in mid-table, and the home side led 2-1 at home, even with a man down, until the 84th minute. In the last few minutes, Győr turned the game in their favour, winning 3-2 with a triple from Balázs Farkas.

ETO FC had a good start to the autumn of the NB II championship, stealing points from Haladas and DVTK, among others, while the team also beat Vasas 3-1 at home. This year, however, László Klausz's team is not doing so well, drawing twice and losing three times in their five league games so far. ETO FC is currently in 9th place in the 20-team NB II with 9 wins, 7 draws and 9 defeats, and with a goal difference of 30-29. 

ETO FC will also have several experienced players in their squad, including Zoltán Lipták, Zsolt Óvári, Tamás Priskin, Richárd Vernes and Patrik Bacsa. The current top goalscorer for Győr in the league is Zsolt Óvári with 6 goals.
