István Sallói is the new sport director of MOL Fehérvár FC!

Our former excellent player was born on the 26th September 1966 in Oroszlány, where he started his football career. At the age of 14, at a youth tournament in Salgótarján, Gusztáv Csiszár noticed his talent, so in 1981 he became a footballer of Videoton and started his secondary school studies in Székesfehérvár. He made his debut in the first team in 1986, but during his military service he played in Győr, from where he returned and became a key player of the team in 1990. He was captain of the team from 1991-1993 and won the Player of the Year Award in 1993, appearing in 150 games for the red and blue and scoring 40 goals.

In 1993, he joined Honvéd, where he celebrated a championship title at the end of the season. He then moved to Israel from 1994-2000, where he was voted the second best foreign player of the last century in 2001. He won two championships with Beitar Jerusalem. Salloi made his debut for the Hungarian national team as a Vidi player in 1992, making 13 appearances for Hungary, scoring 1 goal. Since 2001 he has worked as a sports director, winning the Hungarian Cup with Kecskemét, the silver medal with Újpest (2004, 2009), and twice the NB II championship (with Siófok and ZTE). For the last three years, he has been the sport director of ZTE FC.

I've said many times, I was 14 when Guszti Csiszár discovered me at a youth tournament, and after that I lived and played in Székesfehérvár for 27 years, apart from my military service, and now I'm very happy to return to the club.
