Arpad Tordai was born in Marosvasarhely on the 11th March 1997. He has been with the Gheorghe Hagi Academy since the age of 12. He has gone out on loan twice over the last six years to fellow Romanian clubs Petrolul and FC Universitatea Cluj. The 24 year old has also received call-up's to the Romanian U17 and U21 side.

"I am very happy to be able to play football in Hungary in the spring, my old dream has come true with this. My target is to provide performances for Vidi that the club can count on me even after the loan agreement expires. Vidi is definitely a step forward for my career. It has been around two years now that I have been regularly following the events of the Hungarian championship, I am really looking forward to starting working together with the team." - commented Arpad Tordai who will wear the number 97 shirt. 

"Due to the unfortunate injury to Adam Kovacsik, we had to react to the goalkeeping situation. Emil Rockov and Daniel Kovacs are both really good keepers and I would also mention another young talent that is Dala Martin, who is an extremely talented goalkeeper, born in 2004, who is also part of the youth national team, we cannot put a 16-year-old keeper into a busy spring season ahead of us, so the Romanian youth national keeper Arpad Tordai has come in on loan. This was necessary so that we would not be in an awkward position due to a possible further injury or suspension." - commented Zoltan Kovacs, director of football.  

The transfer of Arpad Tordai will become official after the 15th January, after the opening of the transfer window, but with the permission of FC Viitorul, he has already started the pre-season with us and has travelled to the training camp in Croatia with the team.
