The winter break in the Hungarian professional football winter break is a very long one. It has an effect on the quality of football as a result having listened to the opinions of several Hungarian and foreign professionals. It is a fact that we had the longest winter break in the region before the stadium redevelopment program. The Hungarian FA board have asked for a new NB I calender, which takes into account the conditions and the fact that pitches now have undersoil heating in place. Therefore there is a need for the shortest possible break in the winter months. Further details will be released at the next meeting of the board.
