Kleinheisler diary: Life from the training camp

We continue our series with midfielder Laszlo Kleinheisler giving us an insight from within.

"Hi! There has been some very sad news since my first diary a few days ago. The death of goalkeeper Bence Rakaczki has been devastating. Although I did not personally know him, he was just a few months older than me, which is why I had looked into the illness he suffered, and was routing for him to make it through. I would like to offer my condolences to Bence's family, DVTK FC and the supporters in Miskolc.

We continue to have two training sessions each day, with the main focus placed on ball possession. We are also doing plenty of running. We will play our first friendly match on Sunday, with the new kick off time in the afternoon instead of in the evening. I am really looking forward to the game with HNK Rijeka, and it will be good to play again. I do not yet know what the line-up will be and which formation the manager will send us out in, but I believe that we will all get the chance to play.

There is a period to relax in during the afternoon, in between the two training sessions. This is when I always go in search of the masseur. The three of them are very good in their work. If I have a little bit of muscle ache, or even a kick that I received in training, then I head towards the massage room. They are guaranteed to make me feel fresh again by the end.

We went to a Spanish league match on Friday evening in Malaga. They were up against Valencia. I have not really watched a game before in such a stadium as this. It is true that it was not full, but there was still around 15,000 there and the atmosphere was really good. The game itself was not that bad, even though we did not see any goals. It was quite evident in the game just how comfortable the players were when they were on the ball. The tempo was not the quickest but the way they controlled the ball and then released it was great to see. The two keepers were also special. They both made saves that I could hardly believe with my own eyes. It was a really good experience to watch the match. I hope that I can one day reach that level, so that I can play in a Spanish league match as a player.

We then had fun on the way back from the stadium to our hotel. We created a good atmosphere at the back of the bus with Roland Szolnoki and the others. It is good to unwind a little during a hard training camp. The Friday evening program helped us to do this.

I continue to miss my family and girlfriend the most. I am fortunate to be able to talk to them every day over the internet. I now send them my best through this diary with the message that I love you all!
