José Gomes held the first training session in the Turkish sunshine on Monday morning
Sunshine awaited the players on Monday morning, following the rainy and windy conditions of Sunday. The players are staying at the Ela Quality hotel in Belek. Breakfast was taken at around 8am, before the bus headed off for training at around 9.15am, to the training pitches located a few km's away. Manager José Gomes began his first Turkish training session at around 09:30am.
The players warmed up and then took part in a fast tempo session, which was mainly about sprints and sudden changes of direction. The goalkeepers meanwhile jogged around before some goalkeeping practice under the watchful eyes of coach Alejandro Lopez. One major point of positive news was that defender Stopira took part in the entire session, having been seriously injured in the Europa league 3-0 home win over Sporting Lisbon in October.
The following squad traveled out to Belek, Turkey:
Keepers: Mladen Bozsovics, Tomas Tujvel, Filip Pajovics
Defenders: Álvaro Brachi, Paulo Vinícius, Marco Caneira, Szekeres Adrián, Stopira, Hector Sanchez, Szolnoki Roland, Kiprich Dávid József
Midfielders: Nikola Mitrovics, Filipe Oliveira, Tóth Balázs, Kovács István, Gyurcsó Ádám, Uros Nikolics, Vítor Gomes, Zsótér Donát
Attackers: Arturo Álvarez, Paraiba, Nikolics Nemanja, Torghelle Sándor
