The Portuguese midfielder will remain with Videoton until the end of June 2013
Vítor Gomes was born in the Portuguese town of Vila do Conde on the 25th December 1987. He made his debut for Rio Ave at the young age of 18, going on to make 119 appearances, scoring 4 times. He is a defensive midfielder, and his career has also seen him go on a loan deal to Italian side Cagliari in 2008. However, he did not play for them during that spell.
"I am pleased to continue my career at Videoton. I feel that I have made a good decision, as Videoton FC are a serious club, with big plans and targets, and there are real possibilities of achieving those. I hope that my performances will help the club and I will do everything I can on my part" - said the most recent signing to Videoton - Vitor Gomes.
Videoton have the option to make the loan deal permanent.

Vitor Gomes made the move to Videoton permanent during the summer following a loan spell.

The midfielder feels that Debrecen will have more pressure on them playing on their home pitch and being three points behind Vidi.

The midfielder will link up with the Felcsut side with Vidi having the option to recall the player in the winter transfer window.

The young central defender will spend the rest of the season with the Puskas Academy club.

The defender recently extended his contract with Vidi but will now gain experience out on loan.

Manager José Gomes watched his side hit six second half goals on Friday evening.
