The Spanish left back has joined Videoton on a two-year contract becoming Paulo Sousa's first signing
Hector Sanchez Cabrera has become the first signing for Paulo Sousa's new look Videoton. The left back joins the red and blues on a two-year contract, having played for both Teneriffe and Villarreal. The 26 year old, who is single, travelled out with the Videoton squad and has been training at their Italian base near Trento. The defender played close to 100 games for the Canary Island side, before moving to Villereal last season. Hector took time out to share his first thoughts on the latest step in his career with Videoton.
Hector Sanchez: "This is a good chance for me to play in European competition, and it is also a very exciting project with Paulo Sousa. I feel that the coaching staff here will improve and develop the current squad. I have been impressed with the professionalism of the club since I have been here. Everyone connected with the club would like to make it a real success and I have been walmly welcomed. My message to the supporters is that I am looking forward to their support and I hope that we can have a successful season. I like to go on runs down the left hand side and put in good crosses for the forwards. I also feel that I am a quick player.
