Videoton picked up all three points, thanks to their second half performance, and the fact that ZTE had two players sent off, including their goalkeeper. An injury to a further player meant that they ended the match with just eight players on the pitch. The first half ended in a stalemate with both sides finding it hard to get past the other's defence. It appeared to many as if it would be one of those days, where whatever Vidi did, the ball would not find its way to the back of the net. A crowd of 4,000 witnessed this Monicomp league game, which saw first play fourth. In the end the home crowd had to wait until the 72nd minute, when a nice build up saw the ball cut back to the waiting Vasziljevics, who blasted the ball into the top corner of the net. It was not more than Gyorgy Mezey's side deserved, as they continued to put pressure on the ZTE goal.

The second goal shortly after from the penalty spot. Keeper Vlaszak bundled over Alves inside the penalty area, and the referee had no hesitation in sending the experienced ZTE keeper off, while awarding a spot kick. Alves picked himself up to place the ball just past the stand in keeper. The game was made safe in injury time when Alves went on a solo run, avoiding several challenges, before slipping the ball under the keeper for Vidi's third goal. The win sees the red and blues extend their lead at the top of the table to 13 points. There were good performances from Several players, with Gyorgy Sandor and Dusan Vasziljevics catching the eyes of many. The second half performance was just the boost needed following last weeks disappointing draw away to Szolnok.
