Debrecen will travel to Fehervar on Thursday

Debrecen have picked up 5 points from a possible 12 in the spring season so far

Videoton face a very important match on Friday evening, when current league champions, Debrecen make the visit to the Sostoi stadium. Vidi are hoping for a big crowd, following last Saturday's 5-0 away win at Ferencvaros. Debrecen changed their manager over the winter period, with Czech born Zdenek Scasny taking over the running of team matters. Scasny is a recognised manager, having won the Czech league 5 times as a player, as well as twice as a coach for Sparta Praha. He has also gone on to manage Greek side Panathinaikosz as well. The green and whites played Champions league football, during his spell there, including matches with Arsenal and Ronsenborg. His side even managed to beat PSV Eindhoven in Athens! His spell with Debrecen has not been that successful so far: His side lost at Kecskemet, while they managed to beat Paks at home. They also drew 2-2 with Honved last Saturday. Debrecen went out of the Hungarian cup, although they were virtually out of it before Scasny arrived. There only way to qualify for European competition is by finishing in the top three of the domestic league. They are expected to have both Csaba Bernath and Dajan Simac back in contention after the pair missed some training sessions during the week. Debrecen will train on Wednesday, and they will have a further session on Thursday morning, before boarding the coach to Szekesfehervar in the afternoon. Their squad will spend Thursday night in a hotel close to Fehervar.
