Bojan Djordjic moved to Videoton from Swedish side Solna in the summer. He spoke to Vidi.hu about how he is settling down with life in Hungary.

Q.  How have you settled in Fehervar and Hungary?

A.  It is always difficult when you come to a new country at the beginning. I arrive together with Martin Mutumba, and we did not have the chance to go through a full pre-season. In fact, we arrived a week before the Europa League game. Coming here has given me the chance to get to know new team mates and friends. It is also a new language, Hungarian is a little bit more difficult than English. I will try and learn it within a few months!! At first I lived in a hotel, and it was hard without my family and girlfriend, back in Sweden. I feel better now that I have my own apartment, and this can be seen in training and I am improving all the time.

Q.  What were the main reasons for you deciding to come to Hungary to continue your career here, taking into consideration that not too many players make the switch from Sweden to Hungary?

A. I am not Swedish, as you can tell from my name. I am from Serbia, and Videoton is on the rise. I would compare Vidi to the Romanian side Cluj, who bought in many players, despite not being too well known. They are now winning their league all the time, with Steaua not being able to compete with them. People need to realise that just because Videoton is not in Budapest, which does not mean that they cannot be big. It doesn't have to always be about Ferencvaros. At this moment in time, Videoton are a better club than Ferencvaros, with better players. Videoton are now one of those teams that everyone wants to beat.

Q.  What were your first impressions of the set up at Videoton?

A.  I was surprised. There are some great pitches at the Felcsut academy, which is also a great place for the kids. There are also such things that I have not seen in this part of Europe. The facilities here are great from the pitches down to the doctor's room. Hungarian football was a major force in the past and it really needs to pick up now. If Videoton can win the league this season, then it can bring Hungarian football some success.

Q. Are there any young players at the club, who you feel may have a good future in football, baring in mind that you experienced the Manchester united youth system, from close up?

A.  There are good young players at the club. I wouldn't want to go into naming names, but the talented players at Videoton, already play for the U21 and senior teams. People forget that Hungary has a good young team. The U21 side are close to qualifying for the Olympics, while the U20 side came third in the World cup recently in Egypt.
