An article appeared on Vidi.hu earlier this week, which looked at the transfer activity of NK Maribor over the summer. We had mentioned in that article that midfielder Dejan Mezga, was in discussions with Maribor over his future. The player who made 25 league appearances last season, scoring 6 times, has agreed a new deal, which will keep him at the club until 2013. Mezga now looks likely to line up against Videoton in the Europa League game next week. He may also be part of the Maribor side that will play in their countries Super Cup final. Their opponents will be champions FC Luka Koper. The final will take place on Friday, with an evening kick off of 21:00pm, at the recently renovated Ljudski stadium.
