Gyereksarok5631996-tól kezdve még a másodosztályban is szolgálta a Vidit az egykori közönségkedvenc, Vancsa Miklós. A 175 cm magas debreceni játékos a Lokinál, az MTK-nál (ott csapatkapitány is volt) és a Csepelnél már szép évtizedet töltött az élvonalban, mielőtt Fehérvárra igazolt volna, de itt sem vallott kudarcot, 71 élvonalbeli meccsen szerepelt, így összesen 291-ig jutott. 1997-ben a Tiszakécske megsemmisítéséből mesterhármassal vette ki a részét.
A másodosztályú szezont nem játszotta végig (októberben Kecskemétre igazolt), de így is bajnok lett, majd ügyvezetőként Jámbor János minden klubjánál ügyvezető lett.
