Gyereksarok959Barcson született és a közeli Kaposváron nőtt fel Czeczeli Károly. A somogyi csapat utánpótlásából 1968-ban, 7 évesen vitte el az Egri Dózsa, amely akkor az élvonalhoz tartozott. 1974-ig maradt a gárdánál, holott ebben csak két NB I-es idény foglaltatott benne.
Ekkor igazolta le a Vidi, csapatunk színeiben négy szép évet töltött el, javarészt végigjátszotta az 1975-76-os, emlékezetes körülmények között elvesztett bajnoki címmel záruló évadot. 88 meccs után, 1978-ban Nyíregyházára távozott, ahol újabb hat esztendőt töltött, ebből négyet az élvonalban. 1984-ben vonult vissza.
