Gyereksarok474A békéscsabai klublegenda, Csató Sándor 1999-ben érkezett az akkor másodosztályban szereplő Vidihez és a feljutás után játszott Magyar Kupa-döntős együttesünkben is, az utolsó, 2002-03-as idényben pedig már játékos-edzőként segítette a klubot, melyet 2004-ben hagyott el.
1986-ban került az élvonalba a Viharsarokban, ahol 236 élvonabeli bajnokit játszott - edzője volt Csank János is, aki később Fehérvárra hozta -, ezzel a klub házi örökranglistájának negyedik helyéig jutott. 1999-ig bezárólag három idényt húzott le az ETO-nál. Edzői pályafutása során a Békéscsaba, a Ferencváros, az ETO és a ZTE alkalmazásában állt, egy ideig vezetőedzői minőségben is.
