With Loic Nego in the starting line-up, the Hungarian national football team took to the pitch in the first match of the Nations League Division A against England at the Puskás Arena.

Our Hungarian player came close to scoring in the 13th minute against England, who finished runners-up in last year's European Championship, but Szoboszlai couldn't get his accurate cross into the net. In the 37th minute, it was almost a repeat of the same, with Nego again crossing from the right, but Szoboszlai, arriving at the far post but he failed to hit the ball well. The first half ended in a goalless draw, but our team played more dangerously, outnumbering the English in both shots and situations.

In the second half, Nego provided several dangerous crosses, and in the 67th minute we took the lead: a penalty awarded for a foul against Zsolt Nagy was converted by Szoboszlai (1-0)! Hungary had the chance to double the lead, but it didn't happen, but we defended solidly throughout and didn't allow England to create any big chances. MOL Fehérvár FC's other international, Attila Fiola, came on in the 82nd minute and made several fine tackles in the remaining time.

After starting their campaign with a 1-0 victory over England, unbeaten in 22 games in normal time, Marco Rossi's side have three more matches to play in June.
