On Monday, the Hungarian national football team started its preparations for the four Nations League matches in June with the participation of the players playing in Hungary. At the press conference held in Telki on Friday morning, MOL Fehérvár FC's defender Attila Fiola answered the questions of journalists.

“It's always a good feeling to come to the squad, and this time I have good impressions after the last few days. I trained with the team on Monday and Tuesday, then I trained separately in the last few days, but from Monday I will be training with the team again. I think we can draw some strength from the away game against England in the autumn and from last year's European Championship for the Nations League matches ahead. We won't be the favourites, but if everyone gives 120%, we can have a chance against anyone. I've had a long half year with only a week off and now we have 4 games in 11 days against very serious opponents, which will require a hard effort, but the squad has quality and the team unity is very good. So I'm confident that we will do as well as we did at last year's Euros.”

Our national team player also talked about the fact that children under the age of 14 will be allowed to cheer at the home match against England, despite the match being played behind closed doors.

“In the Nations League, we had some very good results in the matches played in empty stadiums due to the Covid epidemic, but for a footballer, a match is only real when there are as many people in the stadium as possible. I agree, and I hope that more children will fill the Puskás Arena against England.”
