Zoltán Kovács is leaving MOL Fehérvár FC. Our former Director of Football offered his resignation after the midweek Europa Conference League defeat, which was accepted by the club's management on Saturday.

Zoltán Kovács joined the club in August 2015, and since then our first team has celebrated a league title in 2018, a Hungarian Cup victory in 2019 and a Europa League group stage appearance in the 2018/2019 season.

“Following the defeat in Armenia, I offered my resignation in writing, because I considered it the most honourable and correct decision in the circumstances. This morning, I had the opportunity to meet Istvan Garancsi in person, who accepted my resignation at our meeting. I would like to thank all the players, staff and employees who have been with the club for the last six years and, last but not least, the club's owner and management for the excellent and high standard conditions in which we have worked together. A league title, a cup win, or even a Europa League group stage is a defining experience of my career, and I wish Vidi and its supporters the same success again in the near future!”- commented Zoltán Kovács.
