Match 13 of the OTP league saw a visit to Paks on Sunday evening. Paks went into the game four points behind us after the first twelve games of the season. However, we have played one match less so there was all to play for. Paks manager Gyorgy Bognar has made a very good start to his period in charge with a single defeat in his eight matches in charge.

Vidi lined-up with a similar formation to that of a week ago against ZTE. There was a single change to the starting eleven with Nikolov coming in to the side in place of Alef. Vidi lined-up: Rockov - Musliu, Stopira, Fiola - Bolla, Houri, Nikolov, Nego, Funsho - Nikolic, Zivzivadze.

The first big chance of the game fell to Haraszti after 7 minutes. Stopira slipped and that allowed in the Paks player on goal, but his low shot went just wide of the target. Haraszti again was involved after 11 minutes. He squeezed in between two defenders to shoot at Rockov, who saved the effort. The first chance for Vidi came after 23 minutes: Bolla fed Zivzivadze, who broke into the box before shooting from a tight angle from the right, which saw the Paks keeper Hegedus well placed to deal with it.

Six minutes later and Funsho sent a high ball in front of goal from the left. Nikolic arrived at a good pace in the middle, but his shot went wide of the target in what was a good chance for the visiting side. Haraszti had another chance after 37 minutes with Nikolov managing to clear the danger. Nikolic had a good chance towards the end of the first half: Houri found our captain on the right and he shot straight at goal, but the chance flew over the bar from close range. The first half ended without any goals as the sides went in with the score at 0-0.

The home side had a chance in front of the Vidi goal following a 59th minute corner. Bode received the ball in the middle 7 meters out, and his shot ended up going over the bar. A minute later and Nego was in with a chance with a shot from a tight angle finding the side netting. A Bognar free kick required Vidi keeper Rockov to calmly punch clear. Rockov was again in the thick of the action a minute later, this time denying Balogh. Bognar had a chance after 71 minutes from 17 meters out, which Rockov dived to his left to tip around the post. Petryak broke into the box shortly after coming on in the 76th minute and he fell to the ground, with referee Solymosi waving play on.

Houri had a chance after 83 minutes with his shot heading at goal, before defender Bode got his head to it to clear the danger. Paks won a free kick near the end of the game. Balogh sent in a ball, which was met by the head of Martin, with Rockov given no chance. That 83rd minute goal ended up being the only one of the game. The 3 minutes of injury time did not bring any further chances with Vidi leaving the home of Paks without any points.

We are next in action at the MOL Arena Sosto on the 12th December when we play Budafok.
