The draw for the EL Q1 was made in Nyon at 13:00pm on the 10th August. Vidi were paired with Irish side Bohemian FC with the game being played on Thursday 27th August. The match will be played behind closed doors at the MOL Arena Sosto. We spoke to the Director of Football, First team manager and our club captain for their reaction.

Zoltan Kovacs: 

"I am sure many will say that we got the easiest opponent that we could have. My reaction to this is that there are no easy games in football. We need to make sure that we go out onto the pitch with confidence. Naturally the aim is to make it through to the next round. If we are not focused, we will be making our own job that much more harder. I am pleased that we will be playing the game here at home. However, I am not pleased that our own supporters will not be able to give us their support inside the stadium. The team will be ready for the match and I am expecting each team player to be fully focused."

Gabor Marton: 

"Now that we know who our opponents will be, we can start preparing for them. First, we will make an accurate analysis of the Bohemian team. When I think of Irish football, the English style springs to mind. We need to prepare for dominating football. There are no easy teams within the Europa League. Those that are participating will be because they deserve to be. I want us to celebrate going through."

Nemanja Nikolic: 

"I have already had experience of playing against an Irish team with Legia and also for the national team. The Irish play tough football, combined with a lot of body-to-body duels and a lot of running. It is good for us to play at home. We will also play two games in the league before the Europa League match, so we will have time to prepare. We have to give respect to all our opponents, we must not be prepared for an easy match, we can be punished if we underestimate them. I am sure the coaching staff will properly prepare us for the match. I’m not saying a big deal when I say we’re preparing to go through."
