The midfielder spoke about the current situation to the Nemzeti Sport.

Happy belated birthday!
Thank you very much.
Do you feel 37?
I could say that I am younger but it would not be true. You cannot stop time and I do not really want to either. Each period has its own nice factors. When your a kid and when you become an adult and then a parent. Then you watch as your children grow up. I am in the latter period currently and I love it.
Your able to spend more time with your family at the moment.
If there is any benefit to the coronavirus, it is that we can spend more time with those that we love. At the same time it is terrible to see what is going on around the world. How the people are suffering with this illness and that so many will not survive it. I hope that this virus will end as soon as possible and that they manage to find suitable medicine as quickly as they can. It would be great to start playing football again but when we return to the pitch is not the most important right now.
Do you think that there is a chance that there will be football over the spring?
Yes! One of the worst feelings for a footballer is to play inside an empty stadium. We are at that stage at the moment where I would rather play in front of empty stands than not play at all. It is not for me to decide but the season could be completed inside a tight month. A game every three days would see us end the season quickly. Even if this means us being separated from others and living inside hotels in between games. If we can start playing football once again and I think those in quarantine would also be happy if they could watch the games on TV. Those who are interested could watch. I would not claim that what I imagine above is the best solution but perhaps it is not that bad. As I have continuously said, nothing is more important at the moment than being healthy.
If we are talking about health, can we ask if you and your family are fine?
Thankfully we are all healthy. We are looking after each other as much as we can.
Your knee operation last September allows you now to endure the hard work?
There is no problem with it! My rehabilitation is continuing as planned. The only difficulty currently is that ball work in training cannot happen due to the virus. I am doing as much as possible at home. I cannot feel any problem with my knee if I do sprints or running. Only football itself is missing. My son is four years old and I love playing football with him. However, sadly that is not enough for me to go out to the garden. Although I have to admit that he is a strong and determined opponent, he hates losing... he has inherited this from his father...
It is true that your not the type to give things up. Just 48 hours after your operation, you started to bend your leg even after the rupture of a second knee ligament.
If I would not have remained as positive, then who would have? My first operation took place three years ago in Germany. We decided on having the operation in Hungary as I felt I would be in good hands. I suffered an injury on the Saturday and contacted dr Geza Abkarovits on the Sunday. He told me that I would have to go under the knife on the Wednesday. I asked him whether this could happen on the Monday and he said sure. I did not want to waste time and felt the more I wait, the longer my recovery would be. The club physio Gabor Barta deserves plenty of thanks from me. A lot is down to him that we can even talk about when I can return back onto the pitch. Before the virus broke out, we were planning for me to start playing again in the second half of April. Now sadly we have to delay the time but I hope things could change in May or even June. Reading the news, UEFA is also trying its best to make sure domestic leagues are able to finish on the pitch. I just hope things can restart as soon as possible as that would mean we are over the danger.
Your retirement is still a while away…
That is correct and I have another year contract with Vidi, which I am pleased about. I would have been really upset to have ended my playing career with an injury. Now I have the chance to make sure this does not happen. It has been a long road since my operation and although I am not yet at the end, I have come out of the dark tunnel. I am optimistic and I will remain this way.

Csütörtökön 18:30 órakor az MTK otthonában lép pályára a Vidi a MOL Magyar Kupa elődöntőjében.

Vezetőedzőnk szerint nagy lökést adna a bajnokság hajrájára, ha közben a MOL Magyar Kupa döntőjére készülhetnénk.

A dobogóért küzdő zalai együttes visszavágott a Vidi II-nek az őszi vereségért.

A 39 éves spori legutóbb decemberben vezetett nekünk mérkőzést, a Budafok elleni bajnokit.

Ebben a sorozatban kilenc éve találkoztunk utoljára a fővárosi együttessel.

Válogatott védőnket arról kérdeztük, milyen meccsre számít a MOL Magyar Kupa elődöntőjében.
