MOL Fehervar FC have signed 20 year old Levente Szabo. The footballer had been playing in Italy over recent years. 

Levente Szabó was born in Szekesfehervar on the 6th June 1999. He first played for Sarszentmiklos SE before moving to join then Videoton FC Fonix competitive age group. He was a team mate at that club with Bendeguz Bolla and Hungarian international Dominik Szoboszlai. He would then move over to join the Gyori ETO FC academy. He scored 272 goals in 133 youth matches between 2007 and 2015.

The summer of 2015 saw him sign for Italian club Atalanta and he helped their U17 side to the league title. He then moved to Genoa in 2017 and was part of their U19 side. He has been a regular member of the Hungarian youth sides since 2014 and has scored three goals for the U19 team in six international matches.

"I was born in Szekesfehervar and was brought up in Sarbogard. I was a Vidi supporter from a young age and used to go many times to watch the team play. However, my career then took me in a different direction. I am pleased to have now returned and it is a great chance for me here at Vidi. I want to continue developing and hopefully use the experience I gained in Italy. We won our age group league title when I was with Atalanta, and I regularly trained with the Genoa Serie A side. I would say that it was a successful period for me. Now my aim is to slowly build myself into the first team of MOL Fehervar FC. I hope that I can score goals if I am given the chance" - commented new signing Levente Szabo.

"Bringing Levente home has been a topic we have looked at several times over the recent years. He has played several games in the NB I and I am pleased he has chosen to sign for us. He is a classical forward and has plenty of potential within him. We want to make sure he is given game time so he will be preparing with Budaors, thanks to the cooperation we have with them. I am sure that he will be making his debut for the Vidi first team in a short period of time. I also hope that he will be able to help the U21 national team if he is given the chance after playing for the various youth teams" - commented Director of Football Zoltan Kovacs.
