Nego scored a wonderful goal to give Vidi the lead on Thursday evening. He volleyed home a cross from Milanov to give the Chelsea keeper no chance.

"I have watched my goal a few times during the night following our game with Chelsea. Not because of myself, but because my son was extremely happy and we had to watch it over and over again (laughter). It was one of the best feelings for me in my life to make my family happy by what I did on the pitch. It was a very emotional game against Chelsea. We went behind but quickly managed to draw level. We went in at half time with a slight advantage. Then we were given the shocking news at the break that BATE were easily winning in Greece. We did not collapse despite this and we then took the lead against one of the best teams in the world. The match ended up as a draw in the end. This means that we were the only side that were capable of taking points off Chelsea. The second goal came following a lovely move. Milanov sent in a wonderful cross and I managed to connect really well with it. I do not even know what I was thinking about in the seconds that followed the goal. It was a feeling that I just cannot describe to score against one of the best teams. I was very disappointed at the final whistle. I knew that the great adventure had come to an end, but then a feeling of being very proud took over. I am proud of Vidi and all that we achieved. I am pleased that I can be a player for this team. I spoke a few words at the final whistle with Olivier Giroud, although we do not know each other, it is very natural at these times to talk to someone from the same country as you. We congratulated each other and that felt really good that the journalists recognised and spoke about my goal. I felt that we all gave our all in the match, but we do not have too much time for regeneration as we have perhaps our most important league game coming up against Ferencvaros on Sunday. We really want to say goodbye to the supporters and 2018 with a home win. We had some up's and down's over the year but I feel that it has been a successful one. If we can beat Ferencvaros, then we can reduce the difference to 5 points" - commented Loic Nego.

The two managers shared their thoughts after Thursday's final whistle.

Vidi led 2-1 at one point following an excellent Nego volley but the two sides drew 2-2.

The Vidi manager shared his thoughts ahead of the important game with Chelsea.

The two teams will meet on Thursday evening in Budapest in the final group stage match.

The Vidi head coach and goalkeeper Adam Kovacsik met the media on Wednesday afternoon.

There is everything to play for as Vidi aim to pick up more points than BATE as the final group matches are played out. The Europa League story so far:
