The two clubs have come to an agreement that will see Roland Szolnoki continue his career with the Puskas Academy FC.

Roland Szolnoki made his debut in the summer of 2011 in a 4-0 win against Paks. He had been a member of the title winning squad a year earlier. He remained a Videoton player for 8 years and made 205 appearances in the shirt of Vidi. Those included 132 games in the Hungarian first division, 23 in the Hungarian cup and 24 in the league cup. There were also 2 appearances in the Super Cup final and a further 24 in Europe. Szolnoki would help the club to a League cup success and two further successes in the Super Cup. He was also a member of the title winning squad three times. No other Videoton player can boast having been a member of three league championship winning squads. He made his debut for the Hungarian side in the summer of 2015 in a 4-0 win over Lithuania in Debrecen.

I have received so much love and support from the supporters and that great relationship with them remains until today. I am very grateful to them. There are times when a person needs a change of environment so that they can refresh. That time has come for me now. I will always be grateful when I remember back to my time with Vidi. I would like to wish the club and supporters the best of success and also in the European competition. I wish from my heart that the players and supporters can again experience that great feeling that was back in 2012 with Vidi when we made it into the Europa League group stage" - commented Roland Szolnoki.

Roland Szolnoki has mutually broken his contract with the club and will join the Puskas Academy FC. He will not be unfamiliar with them as he came through their youth system. We would like to wish him the very best in his continued career.
