- We are sure that you have not had too many possibilities to give an interview while in the middle of a traditional pig killing event in Hungary. If we look around us then we will see that the players are in good mood. How do you feel at the end of the year?

I am pleased to be able to get to know the Hungarian traditions. It was a nice thing on behalf of the football club to be able to close the season like this. I would like to thank the locals for their great hospitality. I consider it a good thing that foreign people, including myself, can see and experience typical local customs. It is also good for the players to unwind after the tough matches.

- Is it important for team morale that the lads can say goodbye to the autumn season together before heading for their winter breaks?

Naturally it is important but team morale can be strengthened the best during training and in games. I will say once again that we feel good here and sometimes there is a need for extra program away from the dressing room or pitches.

- It is a positive aspect ahead of the winter break that the team are leading the championship. At the same time there were also games that did not go according to plan like the cup match with Budafok. How would you sum up the last few months?

Yes, the cup was a real shock to the system. I am pleased that we have finished in top place, but we must not forget that we still have plenty of room to develop. We have started a system and I feel that this can be seen in the way we have moved forward. We need to continue this hard work in the interests of achieving our targets. We started on a new path in the summer and I feel that we are heading in the right direction.

- There have been several moments along this road. Which one do you happily remember back to?

It is hard to give a concrete answer. We have had some good matches at home where everything worked in our attacking play. We had the rhythm, the tempo and the movement, which is always good to see. We also had some matches away from home when we did really well to create chances, but the finishing was missing for us to pick up 3 points more often.

- And if we could ask which game had us playing the best attacking football?

I would say when we beat Debrecen 5-1. That was a good match. I would also add the home game with Midtjtylland, where perhaps we played even better in parts than the mentioned game above. We also played good football for 80 minutes in the match with Ferencvaros. The most important thing for me is to be able to see the level that we are capable of reaching. We are working to continuously play football at that level.

- Besides results over the last few weeks, the supporters and media have also been talking about the fact that substitutions were not almost made. Is there a special background regarding this?

When a manager names his starting team, he always sends out those eleven players that he feels is the most suitable to win the game in question. Several things influence decisions during the 90 minutes. One of those is the amount of goals scored and conceded and the various game elements. This is why it happened over the autumn that we made three changes at half time, but there were games when we did not make any. I will only make a substitution if I feel that the change will improve our game during the match. If I do not think that it will, then I would prefer not to make changes.

- Now a couple weeks rest awaits the players and also the coaching staff. How will you be spending the holiday period? Will the Berg family be celebrating in Manchester or in Norway?

We will be in Norway and will be spending the holidays in the same way as any other family. Naturally we will be meeting up with friends that we have not seen for a while. The traditional Norwegian cuisine will not be missing from the table.

- What are those?

That depends what part of Norway we are talking about. They eat fish in the north, lamb in the west and pork in the east.

- I admit that at the top of my head, I do not know what part of Norway you come from.

From the east so there will be plenty of pork on the plates (laughter).
