Kazimiers Sokolowski was born on the 11th February 1963 in the Polish town of Szczecin. He played for Pogon Szczecin during his playing career, which included spells at Norwegian clubs Tromsö and Asker. Sokolowski represented Poland twice. His coaching career saw him work at Norwegian side Sandefjord, Valerenga and SK Brann. He was assistant coach with Legia Warsaw, where he worked together with Henning Berg. They won the Polish league title and cup at that club. The new coach has signed a 2 year contract with Videoton.

"Kazimiers Sokolowski has serious experience as a coach, while he also played for his country during his playing career. He has also worked together with Henning Berg. He will work as a coach at Vidi, which will also include the analysis of individual players and training the team" - commented director of football Zoltan Kovacs.

"I moved to Norway at the age of 26 and I really liked the country. I learned the language and started working there as a coach. We also enjoyed good times in Poland together with Henning at Legia. We are well aware of Hungarian football and its past in Poland. I always think about the technical football and the friendship between the two countries, when Hungary is mentioned. I like the culture of this country and I am pleased that I will be working here" – commented Kazimierz Sokolowski.

"We first met when I was a head coach at Lyn Oslo. His son was my player and he also worked at the club. We then met several times on opposing sides in Norway, before he became my assistant at Legia. He was very in touch with football in Poland. We work really well together, which is why I would like to continue our work here in Fehervar. I am pleased that he will link up with us at the start of the pre-season" – said Henning Berg on the appointment of the latest member of the coaching team.
