A supporter's forum was held on Thursday evening at the Szekesfehervar town hall regarding the redevelopment of the Sostoi stadium. The planners displayed the new stadium plans, while the actual timetable regarding the demolition and building of the new facilities were also revealed. Finally details of where Videoton FC would actually play over the next year and a half was also mentioned.

Local Mayor Andras Cser-Palkovics greeted those that had attended the meeting and highlighted in his introduction that the Sostoi stadium is one of the town's emblematic locations, which will be redeveloped. "A completely new, multifunctional facility will be born, which will be fit for the 21st century. The plans also include for a Vidi town within the town itself. It is also important that the neighbourhood is also improved and redeveloped with parks and roads being built. The stadium improvements will take place in parallel with the rehabilitation of the Sosto area. That will result in a wonderful new part of the town, while a new community area will be born" - commented the Mayor.

SAMO Kft prepared the plans and their Managing Director, Győző Kokany said that a completely individual arena was imagined for Szekesfehervar. "There were plans that popped up in the planning process, as we have to implement the current main stand within the new stadium plans. That means that the work will not start from zero, but we will solve these and the work will begin."

The new 14,144 stadium is planned to be ready by the summer of 2017. Videoton FC Managing Director Attila Balogh also spoke about the new stadium. "Training will continue to take place in Fehervar for all of the teams. That means that the senior team will play the league and cup matches in Felcsut. We hope that we will qualify for European competition in the summer, but we do not yet decided where those will be played."
