OTP Bank League

The team currently have a rarely seen advantage at the top of the OTP league table, with 44 points from a possible 51. That has meant a single defeat and two draws besides the fourteen wins. The goal difference is equally impressive with 40 having been scored and just 6 conceded. There were only four games where the opponents managed to score against the red and blues. MTK are second in the league and eight points behind. DVTK are in third and twelve points behind the Fehervar side. FTC and Debrecen both strengthened their squads over the winter and are thirteen points behind.

Vidi kick off at the home of Győri ETO on Sunday with the first home game taking place on the 7th March. That game against Nyiregyhaza will kick off at 18:30pm. The thirteen league matches over spring will see nine of those being played away from home. 

Hungarian Cup

Testvériség SE were beaten 7-0, Kunszállás 8-0 and Szigetszentmiklós 2-1 in away cup matches. Vidi also knocked out DVTK 2-1 to make it into the last eight. Pecs are next up in a two legged affair. The first leg will be on the 4th March in Szekesfehervar with an 18:00pm kick off. The return leg will be on the 1st April in Pecs, with the kick off time also 18:00pm. 

League Cup

The league cup group matches saw four wins, one draw and a defeat with thirteen points picked up. Vidi qualified through the group stages and then knocked out Dunaujvaros over two legs. The first saw Vidi lose 2-1, but the return leg ended in a 3-1 win. Debrecen will be next up in the spring after they defeated Sopron over two legs.

Arrivals

Vidi brought in three players of international level over the winter break. Macedonian international forward Mirko Ivanovski arrived, while experienced French defender Remi Mareval also made the move to Vidi. Dutch defender Kees Luijckx arrived in the last couple of days.
