You spent last season working with Spanish side C.F. Badalona. What can we know about your previous career?

I played in the Spanish third division during my playing career, before moving to Japan, where I played in their second division. It is there that I started to work as a coach, spending a total of three years there in the Far East. Another important factor happened with me besides football, as I met my wife in Japan.

You then returned to work in your homeland following the period in Japan.

This is correct. I also worked at Villareal, Espanyol and St. Andreu, as well as the already mentioned Badalona as a fitness coach. 

Who are you familiar with at Videoton FC, and also in Hungary?

Yes, with Joan (Joan Carrillo Milan, the Vidi head coach - editor.) We have known each other for a long time now, and have kept in contact over the years, so I have heard a lot of good things about the club and country. I can now see this for myself just what a lovely place it is, and that I have joined a club where the possibilities are big. I am both very excited and happy, and am looking forward to starting the joint work.

You have moved here alone for the moment, but you’re looking forward to your wife coming out?

My wife will be joining me together with our young daughter. My family is very important to me, and I can only carry out my work to the maximum if they are beside me.

You were born in Barcelona so I presume that Real Madrid is not your favourite club, so is it Barca or Espanyol?

You’re correct that Real Madrid is not in my heart, but I am not really a big supporter in my civil life. If I can get the chance, then I will go and watch one of the teams, but I cannot decide between them, as both are important to me. I have worked for Espanyol, while Barcelona are one of the biggest teams in the World. 

The World Cup will begin in a few days, with the Spanish going into the tournament as holders. What are you expecting from the Spanish side?

It will be harder for the Spanish side, than it was 4 years ago, but doing the double is not impossible. I expect them to make it into the final, and I will be supporting them in front of the TV.
