José Gomes: "Following a week of hard work, when several players signalled after training that they had aches and pains in their legs, we managed to play in a good match against great opponents. I feel that this was the perfect response following work we have completed. The result against Steaua shows us that pre-season has gone very well so far."

Laurentiu Reghecampf: "I can honestly say that today's result is a surprise. We wanted to win the match, but Videoton were better. I was not that surprised that our opponents battled as they did and played quick football. We faced a Hungarian side in Spain around half a year ago, and in that game Ferencvaros also showed plenty of pace, just as Vidi did tonight. I feel that the type of mentality that both the Ferencvaros and Videoton managers are trying to achieve, will be important for Hungarian football on a whole. I am sure that if Videoton play with the same playing style in the Europa League qualifiers, then they can make it into the group stages again, just as they managed a year ago. The only positive from the game today was that we did not pick up any injuries."
