Hungary's U21 side beat first division Lombard Papa in a friendly match on Wednesday

Antal Roth's U21 side were in friendly action on Wednesday, as they faced first division side Lombard Papa. The game gave the Hungarian manager the chance to look to the future with important qualification games to come. Videoton's Istvan Kovacs began the match and played for 45 minutes. Roth gave all of his players the chance to show what they can do in the international shirt.
Lombard took a first half lead after 27 minutes, when Goran Marics put them ahead from the penalty spot. The U21 side drew level on 32 minutes with Bese aggressively closing down his opponent, before lifting the ball nicely over Szucs in the Papa goal. The second half was very open and the match was settled in the 65th minute, with Zamostny keeping his composure to calmly place the ball into the corner of the net. That made the final score 2-1. The match also saw two academy players play their part. Norbert Farkas and Roland Baracskai did well, and will be hoping to receive call up's in the future.

The international midfielder already had two and a half years of his present deal to run, but has signed for a further period.
