The midfielder made his mark for both club and country
"An outstanding year is coming to an end for me, which started with a surprise back in January, when I returned to Vidi from a loan spell at Kecskemet. I had been with them for half a season. I then managed to convince the coaching staff over the spring season, that there is room for me in the first team. This also led to me getting a call up for the Hungarian national team, where I got my chance very quickly. I even went on to score the winning goal in the international match in the Czech Republic. The great year continued with our participation in the Europa league during the autumn season. I will always remember back with a warm heart to this year" - began Adam Gyurcso, as he looked back on 2012.
"The coaching staff and players have played a massive part, for us to have made it as far as we did in the Europa League. We had training sessions with the right intensity, which resulted in us being able to play against higher calibre sides in Europe. I also played several times on the left, which did not cause me any problems. Whatever side I played on, I always tried to perform to my best when we attacked, so I thought it went well overall. There are different possibilities on either side of the pitch, as I can come inside when I on the left, before shooting on goal."
"The most memorable game for me in the year, was the game in which I scored goals in, so it would probably be the Haladas match at home. I scored two goals in that game. I also have to mention all of the Europa league games, even those where we ended up losing, as we played in new surroundings, which will always remain with all of the players. I feel that the most important thing for me looking ahead, is to get as many chances as possible with Videoton. This will help me to further develop my own game. If I can do this, then my dream of playing abroad will be realised. I feel very good at the club so there is no need to rush things. I am at the best place within Hungary at the moment. I would like to win both the Hungarian and league cup's, following a good winter pre-season, just as last year. I would also like us to finish as high as we can in the domestic league, despite the fact that Győr have a big lead now, but the title has not been decided yet. We can catch them up with a good finish."
