"I feel that it was a very special autumn season for us, which is now behind us. It was great for both the players and the supporters. We picked up new experiences, and had a taste of the real European football, and I do not believe that we dissapointed. We even went a long way, as back in the summer, when we were preparing for our first qualification match, nobody really took us seriously. We managed to perform better and better with each match, and we succeeded in making sure that our opponents did not look down on us, but instead considered us a serious team. I am also happy that I scored some goals at important moments, which helped the team, but a goal is never just down to a player, but the whole team. I have never played for a foreign club before against a team from Portugal. Looking back now, I can say that it is not such a strange thing at all. Naturally it was a very special feeling to play for a Hungarian side against Sporting, but I would not put too much down to it."

"A very special event took place at the start of the year, when my young daughter Carolina was born. It gave me great strength, and they came out to join me in Hungary, a month after her birth. This meant that I could be together with them for virtually all of the time. The games where my wife and Carolina came to watch resulted in her quickly becoming friends with Nikolics' daugher." said a smiling Filipe Oliveira.
