Scottish referee for the first leg in Turkey

Euan Norris will officiate the play off, 1st leg match on Thursday evening

Euan Norris will take charge of Thursday's first leg tie against Trabzonspor in Turkey. The 34 year old took his refereeing badge back in 2000. He then went on to officiate in his first game in 2005. Norris has also gone on to referee games on the international stage since 2009, when he joined the FIFA group of match officials. He also refereed the 2010 U17 European championship qualifier between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, which ended 2-1. His first match in the European competition came in the Odense BK - Zrinjski Mostar game, which ended in a 5-3 win for the home side. The Scot took charge of just one Europa leagu match last season, which was the Larnaca - Rosenborg match, which finished 2-1. He has yet to be involved in a game with a Hungarian side, so Thursday will be his first. His 14 matches in the Scottish league last year, produced 55 yellow cards, and he has a reputation for being strict. He will be assisted by Alan Mulvanny and Graham Chambers.
