Videoton picked up their first away win of the season at the Albert stadium on Sunday evening. Backed by a good and noisy away following, an early Andre Alves header was enough to seperate the two sides. Manager Paulo Sousa played Akos Elek in the centre of midfield, in place of Gyorgy Sandor, who had a slight muscle strain, while keeping his normal back four of Brachi, Caneira, Vinicius and Oliveira. This defence is starting to gel nicely, conceding one goal in the last four games confirms. Evandro continued on the left of midfield, with Walter, who has regained his form, out on the right, although the pair often changed wings throughout the match. Videoton's last away win was in March 2011, when they won 5-0 at the same venue in a memorable game. However, the main aim on Sunday was the three points, which they picked up, and which moved Vidi up nicely into third place. Ferencvaros also needed the points going into the game occupying a relegation place. 

The game began with both sides trying to win the midfield battles. Alves almost intercepted a header home from Balog to his keeper Jova, but the keeper just managed to get there first. The Brazilian made no mistake after 13 minutes. Walter showed good trickery and hard work down the right wing, before crossing the ball nicely for the unmarked Alves to head across the face of the goal, and into the opposite corner of the net, to send the travelling fans into delight.

It was a well worked goal, with Alves showing great awareness to pinpoint his header into the back of the net. The goal also confirmed the fact that Walter is starting to find real form after a slow start to the season. Videoton continued to press forward, while Ferencvaros played with plenty of enthusiasm, but with several errors creeping into their game at the same time. Olivieira found his way into referee Kassai's notebook after 20 minutes. Keeper Tujvel did very well to tip the ball over after a long throw came in from the right. 

FTC centre back Klein then collided with Tujvel, which required treatment for both, with the defender eventually needing a head band before continuing. The home side began to see more of the ball with Vidi focusing on keeping their lead. Brachi had the final chance of the first half with a long range effort, which the keeper saved. The second half began with Alves releasing Mitrovics, but keeper Jova reacted fast to collect the ball. Alves was fouled on the edge of the area after 48 minutes. Mitrovics' free kick was well saved by Jova once more.

Poloskei then headed over from close range, when perhaps he could have done better. Alves almost made it 2-0 after a lovely ball by Elek, who was having a very good game in the centre of midfield. Alves' effort went just over the bar. Toth Balazs was also seeing plenty of the ball, keeping himself busy at the same time. Evandro saw his shot go wide after 69 minutes as Vidi continued to press. Ferencvaros were finding it hard to create a worthwhile chance on the visiting goal. Alves hit the post after 74 minutes with his shot, while Tujvel did well to save from a rare home attack. 

Nikolics came on to add pace to the frontline in place of goalscorer Alves. The referee added 3 minutes added time, as Vidi comfortably saw out the remaining minutes, to pick up their first away win of the season. The three points also saw Videoton climb into the top three, after several other results went their way. The international break now follows with Paulo Sousa's side nicely positioned to press on. Akos Elek and Gyorgy Sandor will link up with the national side on Monday, happy in the knowledge that their side have broken their away day blues.
