The atmosphere was great!

The Hungarian national team assistant coach spoke to vidi.hu about the friendly match

Sandor Egervari's assistant Imre Kenyeres, spoke about the 3-1 win over FK Dukla on Friday evening. He watched the match, together with the national team manager, and was impressed by what he saw:

There was big expectation leading up to Paulo Sousa's debut. The home crowd were hungry for football, and over two thousand supporters saw the friendly match at the Sostoi stadium. The atmosphere inside the stadium resembled that of a league match! Both Sandor Egervari and Imre Kenyeres watched the game, as did the manager of Sturm Graz and Videoton's next opponents, Kecskemet, who we play next Friday in the Super Cup final.

Imre Kenyeres: "A fantastic atmosphere greeted the teams, which is thanks to the attention that the new manager and players have received. The other important factor is that this was an important friendly match for the team itself, and one that the supporters have been waiting for. The team managed to carry out the manager's request, which was to "play". It was good to watch that Videoton tried to build up their attacks with lots of passing, as well as bringing the ball out from defence. Do not forget that the difference between a friendly match and an actual key game is massive. However, I am sure that it will be a good feeling for both the players and the supporters, that Videoton won today."
