Laszlo Lencse was the star of the show, scoring two fantastic goals, on the back of his nice goal against Ferencvaros on Saturday. Playing with new found confidence, the young striker showed his class by seeing off Honved in this second leg, Hungarian cup match at the Sostoi stadium. The two sides went into the match, nicely balanced following last weeks 1-1 first leg draw. The breakthrough came very early on, when Gosztonyi found himself on the end of a Lencse pass, and he placed the ball into the far corner of the net to make it 1-0. Videoton more or less made sure of the win after 27 minutes, when Lencse acrobatically volleyed home a Gosztonyi cross. The young forward showed great awareness to connect well with the cross, which ended up going in off the post.

Vidi gave a chance to some of the promising youngsters in the second half. Gyurcso, Izing and Akos Elek's younger brother, Bence Elek all came on to help Videoton to this convincing win. Laszlo Lencse was about to come off, for the young Elek, but before he did, he managed to curl a wonderful shot into the far corner of the net, past the outstretched fingers of Kemenes in the Honved goal. Lencse received a standing ovation when he came off a minute later, which was much deserved. Substitute Gyurcso was nicely played in by Gyorgy Sandor, and the young striker kept his composure, to cleverly lift the ball over the keeper to make the final score 4-0. Manager Gyorgy Mezey did not come out for the second half, after he felt unwell. This result will cheer him up and hopefully help him back to full strength. Videoton backed up their great 5-0 away win at Ferencvaros, with this equally convincing 4-0 home win. They have now scored nine goals in the space of 72 hours!
