Videoton travel to the capital on Sunday

Gyorgy Mezey's side kick off the spring campaign with a tricky game at Vasas

It has been a long pre-season period, which included several friendly matches, and a ten day training camp in southern Spain. Gyorgy Mezey's side have also had a two-legged league cup match with Paks, which saw Vidi go out of the cup, following a 1-1 aggregate score, with Paks going through on the away goals rule. Now it is back to the bread and butter of things, as Videoton return to Monicomp league division one action, with a difficult game at Vasas. Andras Komjati's side have brought in several new players over the winter break, including Vidi duo Adam Presinger and Csaba Ponczok, who both arrived on a six month loan deal. They have also brought in veteran Krisztian Lisztes and keeper Gabor Nemeth. Even more significant was the recent arrival of new owners at the club, with Attila Farago taking over the running of Vasas FC. Gyorgy Mezey will have a near full strength squad to choose from, although there are doubts with Balazs Farkas, who has a foot problem, and may miss the match. Andre Alves is expected to continue up front, and the Brazilian will be looking to build on his impressive goal scoring rate. Goran Vujovics will not feature, after the Macedonian forward moved to Kecskemet on a loan deal. A full match report and interviews will appear online shortly after the final whistle.
